Fishing The Mattole River
With overnight accommodations that range from poor to nonexistent this river drainage is truly a diamond in the rough. Located in what's aptly named the "Lost Coast", the mattole meanders through large cattle ranches and redwood forested hills to enter the Pacific a few short miles west of Petrolia.
The wild steelhead fishery is protected by catch and release / no bait regulations and winter storm patterns that allow very small windows of fishable water.

Fishing the Klamath River
Beginning in south eastern Oregon this big piece of water travels westward to enter the Pacific an hour north of Eureka.
A fly anglers' destiny, this great system boasts two runs of king salmon and a tremendous half-pounder and adult steelhead run.
